About Our Founder | Steven Vena
Growing up in an entrepreneurial family in Darien, Illinois ( a western suburb of Chicago ) provided me with a unique perspective about serving others and how being part of others success’ can bring yourself joy and fulfillment. Our family business was “Best Custodial Maintenance, Inc”. It was a commercial cleaning and light maintenance business that taught me responsibility, attention to detail, and most importantly a respect for other’s property. The company was in business for 40+ years — a testament to the motto and mindset the business instilled in me: “always do the right thing” and “go over and above” for your customers.
Our family business put me through college where I studied graphic design, marketing, and business psychology. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Design from Columbia College, I worked for many Chicago area advertising agencies and corporations — including my own brand marketing agency. All the while I leveraged this high-level experience to assist in directing aspects of the family business’ marketing and client relations for over 25 years.
One of my brand marketing customers was a real estate firm that had a brokerage in Florida. The Broker recognized that I would make an excellent real estate agent due to my strong marketing and negotiating skills — and being a self-starter that knows how to push to the finish line. I took him up on the challenge and have zero regrets ever since. My experience is coming full circle. I have seen a lack of single source companies in the area who can address the variety of core tasks that developers, builders, and property managers need. This is why I created Central Services Plus, LLC.
